This is a video for a friend of mine with his fleet tracking startup business http://www.geomoto.com. They provide a GPS tracking service for small to medium size fleets with a very easy install. As part of the service geomoto provides web-based GPS tracking software coupled with Google Maps with access to satellite view to see exactly where your vehicles are. The GPS device installation is the simplest I’ve seen with not antennas or special mounting required. It uses the OBD port of the vehicle to power the device.

Falcon-i vehicle tracking system or Automatic Vehicle Location System (AVL) is an innovative technology that enables one to track or monitor the location of the vehicle in an instant time. The system functions with the help of different technologies like the Global Positioning System (GPS), traditional cellular networks such as Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) and other radio frequency medium.

Vehicle tracking systems are mainly used in transportation and logistics industry to keep real-time track of all vehicles and assets in the fleet. The tracking system consists of GPS device that brings together GPS and GSM/GPRS technology using tracking software. The attached GPS unit in the vehicle sends periodic updates of its location to the route station through the server of the cellular network that can be displayed on a digital map.
